Pei chose the historical site of Fort Th\u00fcngen for the construction of the Mus\u00e9e d&#8217;Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean (Mudam) in Luxembourg. Located on the Kirchberg plateau, between the Place de l&#8217;Europe and the Old Town of Luxembourg, the Mudam museum (opened in 2006) invites visitors to explore contemporary art. The public and exhibition space is laid out on three levels and covers more than 6,000 m2.
